Twenty two agrarian reform beneficiaries from Barangay Carosucan Norte, Cabalitian, Sanchez and Baro are now proud graduates of the Farmers’ Field School (FFS) established by the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) in partnership with the Local Government Unit of Asingan, Agricultural Training Institute of the Department of Agriculture and Municipal Agriculture Office.
At the graduation rite, Mayor Heidee Chua expressed her appreciation for the 22 graduates. She said that the technologies they have learned would help preserve and boost agricultural productivity and develop the marketing system in their barangays.
The graduation was held at Carosucan Norte Elementary School grounds yesterday November 29, 2016.
The FFS is a four-month training program where organic farming and proven agricultural practices were taught to farmers.
