Under Republic Act 11106, an act declaring the Filipino Sign Language as the National Sign Language of the Filipino deaf and the official sign language of government in all transaction involving the deaf mandating its use in schools, broadcast media and workplaces. The Filipino Sign Language shall recognize, promoted, and supported as the medium of communication in all transaction involving the deaf.

The Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office under the leadrship of Teresa Obra Mamalio, RSW, MSWD Officer, conducted Three Day Training on Sign Language on July 3 – 5, 2024, at the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office Conference Room, which is attended by the STAC staff 24 Child Development Teachers, NCDC Teacher, PDAO Officer and ECCD Focal Person. Facilated by Mrs. Kimberly C. Ponsica, Special Education Teacher III, of Narciso R. Ramos Elementary School and SPED Center (NRRESSC), Poblacion West, Asingan Pangasinan.
