Calling the attention of parents of illegitimate children who were born in Asingan, Pangasinan during the period August 3, 1988 to March 18, 2004, not yet registered or registered under the surname of the mother.
You are advised to process the birth certificates of your children not later than July 29, 2016 if you wish your children to use the surname of their father pursuant to RA 9255 ( An Act Allowing Illegitimate Children to Use the Surname of Father).
All unprocessed birth certificates after the prescribed period (July 29, 2016) shall file a petition in court for them to use the surname of their father.
